What do the Swapps think about the 2026 Anacortes School levies?

Anacortes School District teachers Kelsey and Pat Swapp provide valuable insight into what the 2026 school levies mean to the district.

In Kelsey’s role at Mt. Erie Elementary, she teaches children of all learning levels and challenges. “What I’ve seen the most impactful for students who have had a hard time learning how to read or write is the ability to use the technology in all of the subjects.” She describes how Chromebooks helped one of her students perform at grade level.

Pat Swapp addresses the issues in the school buildings that will be fixed with the levy. “It’s just like an aging home where periodic maintenance needs to be addressed correctly or else it reappears over and over.” The levy would provide funds to fix the issues once and for all.

Please join Kelsey and Pat in voting yes for Anacortes Schools!
