The Kerr family will be voting yes for Anacortes Schools in February!

Mom Romany and dad Kyle are both AHS alumni (class of ‘93 and ‘99) and knew they wanted to continue to raise their family in Anacortes because of the supportive community and high-quality education available in the district.

Romany says, “Having been heavily involved in numerous committees and boards throughout the years has shown what an amazing and supportive community we live in. Anacortes prides itself on high-quality education and providing safe learning environments, along with strong athletic and activity programs. Voting yes this February will allow our students to continue to thrive in all of these areas.”

Teagan (13) is in 8th grade and plays football with the AYFL, basketball for Anacortes Boys Basketball Association, and lacrosse with Anacortes Lacrosse. “I want to be able to play sports and represent AHS as a Seahawk, just like my brother and sister.”

Camryn (20) AHS class of ‘23. She is currently attending Western Washington University’s Woodring College of Education to become an elementary teacher. Camryn played soccer, basketball, and ran track all 4 years in high school. “Students’ success in academics, athletics, and beyond is at stake. By voting yes, you are investing in the community as a whole.”

Talin (18) AHS class of ‘25. He attends Bellingham Technical College, where he is studying to be an electrician. Talin was a standout wrestler who placed at the state tournament all 4 years of high school. “You’re not just voting for the schooling part of school but also for the extracurriculars – the many sports and activities that help students succeed in and out of the classroom.”
